Bristol Grove Music Lesson Policy
In order for Bristol Grove Music to continue providing quality music education, the following lesson policy must be observed. Most of us have busy schedules and we have tried to incorporate guidelines that are fair to both the students and teachers.
Ø Please contact the store for current lesson rates and availability.
Ø Lesson fees must be paid in advance for the current month in cash or check made out to the individual instructor.
Ø No lesson will be given if tuition is not prepaid.
Ø Consistent attendance is vital to success. If you can not be at a lesson, you are required to contact your teacher or the store at 815-439-1743.
Ø We require 24 hours notice for any lesson to be considered excused. The only exceptions are for family emergencies or student illness.
Ø Any excused absence can be made up if another time is available. If a make-up lesson cannot be arranged, then the lesson fee will be credited to the next month.
Ø Credit cannot be granted for unexcused absences. If there are three consecutive unexcused absences, a student may be removed from the schedule with no refund of unused lesson fees.
Ø Lesson times for all new students will be based on available openings. First priority in scheduling will be given to any current students. New students must sign up in person.
Ø Students arriving for a lesson must check in at the front desk. Any study books needed for a lesson must be purchased before the lesson. No books or supplies are to be removed from the store unless they are paid for.
Ø All students under age 16 must wait inside store at the end of a lesson unless they are accompanied by a parent or responsible adult.
Ø Parents and guardians are welcome to sit in on any lessons in order to observe student progress.
Ø Bristol Grove Music will be closed on the following major holidays: Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day and Thanksgiving. We are also closed for winter break between Christmas Eve and New Years Day. Our studios will be open on all other weekdays unless there is a weather emergency declared by local authorities.
